Drone Sweet Drone

I felt like posting some concert footage of the Beijing-based ambient duo FM3 (more easily found on the internet by searching FM三), comprised of Nebraskan-native Christiaan Virant and Zhang Jian.  They are most famous for the Buddha Machine, their musical inventions of machines that produce minimal, droning loops, but have released a handful of albums, including the most available (the only one I have any familiarity with), Hou Guan Yin 后觀音, with sometime-experimental musician/composer Dou Wei 竇唯.

The videos are of a piece(?) called Marshall Plan.  Annoyingly, the first show in Beijing is missing the intro video, but it seems to be more or less recoverable from another concert in Hungary.  Neither of the shows seem to be fully documented on Youtube, however.  Guess we'll take what we can get.

For more information, see FM3's website, or their Youtube page.
